In Cameroon, care for older and vulnerable adults is delivered mainly at home and in small private residential settings. These settings — home-based care, private retirement homes and care centres — rely on staff able to respond to an emergency, trained in first aid and CPR.

急救要求
Home-care and residential employers generally expect their staff to be trained in first aid and CPR — basic resuscitation, bleeding control and recovery positions — so they can act quickly for a vulnerable person. This expectation is set by the employer rather than by a national regulatory standard.
A recognized, up-to-date first-aid certificate is the usual way to meet this expectation; it is in addition to the care worker's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
